March Snow Conditions in the Tarentaise Valley

March Snow Conditions in the Tarentaise Valley

Lots of sun since we last wrote and the snow is holding up well.

We’ve skied over to Italy (La Thuile) with guests and friends quite often this month… Slopes have been quiet and snow good as its dumped right on the border between Italy and France.

Maison Laurent has closed down so guests have been eating at Coppapan where the old owners are now working . Ilaria and Deano  have been looking after everyone and the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. They still do chocolate pizza too.

We’ve had some great off piste in Villaroger and been exploring some new routes through the trees, Jonny with his GPS in his hand marking the route.

The tipi has been frequented a few nights for a sing song and an apreo or two. Always a good evening when we go.

Ive blown an edge on my skis which is a pain so had to put them in to be fixed. 2 weeks later it happened again so will be needing new ones for next season.

The Water splash in Les Arcs is now open and Anneha has done it with club.. successfully i might add. Its situated just above the Arpette Restaurant and now has an air bag too, all of which is free to use. Great thing for `les Arcs to offer i think.

The Les Arcs  snow park is close by too.

Anneha and Fifi have been doing some sledging too as you can see from the photo. They go up the lifts in sainte Foy and then come down the slopes. They love it and only 5 euros a day to rent.

Anneha has been racing too… she went to Val D’Isere and completed the downhill on the Women’s world cup run. Didn’t make the podium but had a good day without crashing out.

We still have lots of availability over Easter so please contact us to discuss.
