Villaroger in May and a trip back to the UK

The season is over and  we headed back to the Uk to see family and friends.

It was the Tour de Yorkshire whilst we were there and we were lucky to have it pass right through my mum’s village. We met with friends to watch it and then had a get together with BBQ at my mum’s house.

Once again the crowds in Yorkshire were amazing and all the riders said they were impressed with the turnout and support.

We are looking forward to watching all the teams again back in France for the Criterium Du Dauphine in June where Chris Froome will be racing.

Back in Villaroger , Les Arcs we have had the trees in the village trimmed and we now have an uninterrupted view down the Valley.

We have been out on the bikes and the weather this last week or two has been beautiful.

We are busy decorating in the chalet, painting doors and the staircase. Its looking much lighter and brighter.

We have also made the double bed in the triple room so it will now sleep a family (4 people)

Les Arcs are offering a weekly pedestrian pass to access lifts during July and August 2017 for only 35 euros for the week with access to the outdoor pool in Les Arcs 1800.

Fabulous value with a MB pass only 70 euros for the week.

The pedestrian pass means walkers can take the lifts to gain height the easy way and enjoy the breathtaking views and scenery high up.

The mountains still have quite a bit of snow on them at the moment so you would need good walking boots to head out at the min.

My wisteria has failed to flower this spring, im blaming myself as i trimmed it back and clearly didn’t do it right. So sad as I’ve worked so hard with those plants and they didn’t flower at all for the first 3 years. Im hoping i haven’t damaged them longterm and they will come back?
