OCTOBER 2018 – FIRST SNOW HAS ARRIVED

OCTOBER 2018 – FIRST SNOW HAS ARRIVED

It’s nearly the end of October here in Villaroger and we have seen our first big snowfall down to 1600m. The Les Arcs ski area has had a good covering as has Villaroger above the first lift.

Such a contrast to the warm temperatures we have had during September and October this year. We have not had much rain so hoping the dry Summer can only mean a wet and cold Winter.

Our bookings are coming in and our Off Piste Courses filling up. We still have lots of availability though for your ski holiday or ski weekend, short break.

We have visited the UK during the October half term and caught up with family before the Winter starts.

The ski resorts of Val D’isere and Tignes open at the end of November and Les Arcs opens 15th December as does Sainte Foy and La Rosiere.

Les Arcs closes 27th April allowing for a late Easter and we are open from 8th December through until the end of April. The last 2 weeks of April will be available self catered for your ski holiday, every other week fully catered.

Our logs are in and we are all ready for the start. Just practicing final dishes for the menu and making sure we have all the ingredients we cannot buy in France for our varied menu.

Anneha has now left school and will be working in Resort this year before deciding her next direction.

Fifi is still at school and hoping Anneha will soon be able to pick her up and collect her if she passes her driving test.

The Tour de France route has been announced and the race will be finishing in Tignes having climbed the Col D’Iseran from Bonneval on the 26th July and then passing through Bourg Saint Maurice on the 27th  July before finishing in Val Thorens. Exciting and we are lucky to have it so close. It passes over the Cormet de Roselend from Albertville on the 27th. The chalet is available week 27th – 3rd August.

The chalet is available over the Summer on a self catered basis ( 4 bedrooms sleeping up to 12 people) for the price of £1050 for the week for your Summer Activities Holiday.

We would love to see you with us this coming season or next Summer.
