11 Nov NOV 22 – GEARING UP FOR THE START
I’ve not written a diary post for a while mainly because I spend a lot of time updating our Facebook page and Instagram Page which takes up quite a bit of time so have neglected our diary as a result.
Apologies for this but please follow us on these two portals to keep up to date with weekly events, weather, photos and offers.
We have had a fabulous Summer visiting friends and doing some fabulous walks in the local area.
This Summer was a hot one and temperatures in Villaroger were late 30’s for a few weeks which we are not used to.
Our guests loved it. The hotter became a cool plunge pool and they all cooked outside most of the time.
We visited our local restaurant Le Goyet a couple of times and we will be continuing to recommend it this Winter for your meal out on day’s off. A beautiful traditional mountain restaurant but bistro type food.
We also have a new Indian restaurant in Bourg Saint maurice. They had a few teething problems to start with but now the food and atmosphere is great.
My favourite is the Chicken Palak ( a spinach curry) Never tasted one before but it is delicious.
Le Monal continues to be one of our favourites and their takeaway pizzas are another good option for night off.
We have invested in a new Hot Tub this year. Our old one served us well. We gave it away to friends and they are currently loving it on their new terrace.
Our outdoor hot is an upgrade on our old one so hopefully al our guests will love it.
Unfortunately I have fractured my ankle.Luckily not a bad fracture and I’m keeping positive it will heal quickly and I will be skiing early Dec.
Talking of Early December , we are open from the 8th Dec and still have 2 rooms left until the 13th.
Val d’sere and Tignes open at the end of November, Sainte Foy on the 3rd December, Les Arcs and La Rosiere the 10th December so lots of places to ski and follow the best snow.
We have lots of availability throughout the season Self catered (whole chalet) Semi Catered ( Main and Dessert delivered to the chalet for you to heat up and serve ) or Fully catered with all inclusive drinks.
We can offer 4 night breaks as well as weekly stays.
