April in Villaroger and Easter Skiing

April in Villaroger and Easter Skiing

April has brought late snow and great conditions for the last weeks of the Season.

We skied down to Villaroger until the 16th April albeit having to download on the bottom lift. The snow up high remained good and slopes were quiet in the last couple of weeks.

Sainte Foy held up too and skiing in Tignes and Val D’isere continued until the beginning of May and we actually had powder in that last week. Typically as snow was a little late arriving this season we got it late but were thankful for great end of season conditions.

We had our first Aperol Spritz of the Winter … well it would be rude not to sat on a terrace with the sun beating down in April with Summer just round the corner.

As you know i love my Scott ‘The Ski’ skis and so do my friends. The photo below is a day out and look what we are all skiing on !!

We are looking forward to heading back to the UK to see family and friends, some of who we haven’t caught up with since October.

The girls have got a 2 week holiday. Anneha sits her French Baccalaureate in June and July so she will be concentrating on getting through that. Cannot believe she has only 1 more year at school to do.

Fifi is still loving her art. She has just done 3 pictures for her room. The girls will have a room of their own from May as we are loosing a room next season and just running it as a 4 bedroomed chalet and not 5.

We are making the current triple room into a family room and changing the single bed into a double so it sleeps 4. This means we can still take up to 12 people if needs be.

Bookings are coming in already for next season so please get in touch to get the dates you want.

Les Arcs are putting a new lift in at Les Arcs 2000 and Les Arcs 1950. They are changing the Pre De Saint Esprit lift and making a big snow making facility to transport snow all over the resort including Villaroger so it can open on time and stay open until the end.

The year after they are hoping to change the Comborciere lift which links Les Arcs 1950 to Les Arcs 1600. This will be a major change as currently that lift is very slow and we don’t like using it as a link.

Hopefully then in 2019 they are talking about a new lift for us in Villaroger. This will change things massively although we as locals do love the lifts that we have as on a powder day we have Villaroger to ourselves.

Thanks again for a great Winter to all those that joined us and we hope to see you all again soon.
