31st October 2015

It is well and truly Autumn, all the Valley is brown and the trees have changed to a beautiful Orange and yellow.

The weather is still mild although we have snow on the tops of the mountains in  Les Arcs.

The mountains in front of us in Sainte Foy and La Rosiere are covered too.

The  Tour De France Route has been announced and it passes close by again this year in Albertville.

Any cyclists wanting to come out to watch and ride some of the Cols / Route please get in touch.

The Grande Motte Glacier in Tignes is open and conditions are ok at the moment. Lots of people doing race training, especially  this week with it being half term in the UK.

Val D’Isere opens at the end of Nov , Les Arcs the 12th Dec and Sainte Foy the 19th.

We are taking bookings fully catered including all drinks from the 5th Dec  onwards. Pre Xmas is a great time to ski with no one on the pistes and reduced rate lift passes.

We still have lots of availability throughout the Season, long weekends, short breaks as well as weekly or 2 weeks stays.

The girls are back at school, and we are gearing up for the Winter.

Anneha is back skiing with Villaroger Ski Club, Fifi will be skiing for fun with us.

There has been lots of work going on in Villaroger on the slopes. Les Arcs Lift Company have put in a new piste from La Planay to Le Pre for anyone who takes a wrong turn coming down into Villaroger.

Also at the top of the first lift they have altered the piste so it is perfect for beginners. The first lift is free and there is a long run down , gentle slope for beginners so no need to even buy a lift pass.

The wood is in, I’m doing some painting and decorating and bookings are starting to come in.

ive got some new skis for this year. They are Scott ‘The Ski’ and I’m looking forward to trying them out in the next few weeks.

The neighbours are saying its going to be a big snow winter so fingers crossed they are right.

We are so lucky to have such high altitude skiing around us , we came into our own last year as guests could drive to find the best conditions early season , so everyone had a great time.

I’m trying new recipes out at the minute, have a look at our Recipe page on here for some favourites from the Chalet.

Looking forward to seeing you this Season for some great skiing and fun times in the Chalet.
