31st March 2011

The snow is keeping decidedly well despite not having had too much fall since last time I wrote. Temperatures are pretty warm for this time of year and we are experiencing Spring like conditions I skied all the way down to Villaroger this week although the lower run is getting a little patchy. The run down is due to close on the 1st April so the fact that it been one of the worse snow years in 20 years , we think we have done well

The rest of Les Arcs if you keep high is good, infact there was fresh snow 2 nights ago above 1900m. Pistes are kept in good order and the sun is sotening slopes by about 10.30. Once again the Tarentaise Valley has some of the best snow in the area , and the French Championships been run here in Ste Foy this week proves this. We have heard resorts such as Megeve , Morzine etc are due to close this weekend if no snow falls.

Lots of lovely guests during the past month, with a few trips to Italy and Tignes as well as Les Arcs and Ste Foy. Anneha and Jonny did the water splash in Les Arcs and ive added a picture below. Andy and Gwen skied with a guide and did some skinning with Jonny.

Ffi’s leg is better having pulled some ligaments in her knee jumping off the airbag. Jonny is planning on ski touring, snow permitting at the end of April and is in training again for that. He actually got me out skinning too , after much persuasion. I did actually quite enjoy it.

Here are a few pics from the last few weeks.
