26th July 2014

We headed back to Yorkshire to watch the Tour de France as it passed through the Village of Silsden where my mum lives.

Yorkshire did us proud and the organisation and support of everyone made it a fantastic weekend for Cycling. We couldn’t believe how many people had decorated their houses, organised street parties and events with Large TV screens, music , bars etc.

It was a weekend to remember and we were so please we made travelled back to witness it.

Jonny and Anneha rode Buttertubs , the big climb in the Dales. They said it was a toughie.

The weather has been a bit mixed this Summer so far here in Villaroger. Great white water rafting with the river full. The girls have done the High Rope adventure a couple of times and we have been to Annecy to cycle and swim in the lake.

Les Arcs 1800 are doing some renovation to their beginners area and kids area. Work has started on this.

We have a new French family moved into the Village with children which is nice.

The commune have clad the new recycling bins with Stone so they look very nice and blend in now rather than being prominent.

Have you seen our Video Anneha and Fi made last Season, hopefully it will give you an idea of life in the Skivillaroger chalet. It features guests , family and friends and was so much fun to make. Thank you to everyone for taking part. You might recognise the restaurant in Italy we go to for lunch and Ilaria the owner showing off her chocolate pizza!

Time to start thinking about getting the wood in , decorating and general maintenance in the Chalet.

Booking have started to come in for the Winter, please get in touch so you can get the dates you want.

Will write again soon.
